WE COVER YOUR INDUSTRY 

This is just a short note to comment on the work ethic of the Hoover Wells employees who worked on our floor project at Toledo Seagate Food Bank. For the past 23 years I have been in the world of non-profits and have worked with volunteers, clients, donors, staff and vendors; some professional, some not. 

Please accept my observations: your employees were timely, courteous and conscientious workers. Their breaks and lunch times were never extended and they left the worksite tidy at the end of the day. I would like to thank you and say I am pleased with the choice of Hoover Wells, Inc. to work on phase one of our renovation project. 

I find it necessary to write as I have been observing electricians, furnace installers and others we have selected to do business with. As a consumer of services, let me say there is no comparison to the positive work ethics of the Hover Wells crew. 

My opinions are probably shared by others who have chosen Hoover Wells Inc.

I'd like to express thanks for the fantastic epoxy paint-work done on the floor of the AAA Headquarters Engineering Center here in Dearborn. The mechanical area is almost a half of a century old, but the professional touch exhibited at this facility by your employees is beyond reproach and has face lifted 46 years of age and accumulated grime. 

This would pass any "captain's" white glove test. Tim, the lead paint technician, displayed leadership to the crew working with him, pushing for a perfect product which I think well represents your company. Your salesman/ project manager, Kevin, was thorough in his approach and kept the customer informed throughout the process. I've already networked Hoover-Wells name to some of my peers and certainly AAA's management team. I wouldn't hesitate to use H-W again. Thanks for a super job. Well done guys!

I wanted to take a moment to compliment you and your company for the excellent job and workmanship displayed by your craftsmen on the University of Toledo Savage Hall project. As we all know, some renovation projects are more difficult than others, but your on-site personnel were an asset to the project. The initiative displayed by you and your employees helped resolve project issues and coordination problems, considering the aggressive schedule and constraints we were dealing with for a major, high-profile project. 

Initially, the University and public had their doubts if the old Centennial Hall would be a relevant and modern athletic facility for the 21st century, but they were all impressed after your hard work and efforts were completed. During the grand opening ceremony and basketball season, the public had nothing but praise for the new Savage Arena and Sullivan Athletic Complex. This project would not have been accomplished at this high level without the excellent team that we put on the floor.

We have completed approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of various epoxy flooring systems at our assembly facility. We have done thin-film coatings, as well as epoxy overlayments. 

The first 20,000 sq. ft. of epoxy coating work was completed by a painting contractor. We had several adhesion and appearance problems in this area. We feel that these problems were caused from poor preparation and application techniques. 

The remaining 80,000 sq. ft. was completed by Hoover Wells, Inc. and we are very happy with their attention to detail and their workmanship. 

We have not had any problems with adhesion or coating failure in the areas Hoover Wells has completed. I feel very confident and comfortable in recommending Hoover Wells to any owner who is considering completing any epoxy flooring work.

It is of my opinion that I could not have received a better introduction to your type of work. The professionalism, the craftsmanship, and the genuine care that went into each and every aspect of the project was of the absolute finest. 

Your workers worked long hours and at a nonspecific shift. They worked when needed, as needed. Whatever it took, they did. Also, I cannot say enough about your supervision. Roger was a true reflection of professionalism and dedication to the various wants and needs of the customer... 

If I am ever to be charged with supervising another process such as this, I have only one hope. That would be that the work would be performed by Hoover Wells...

In recent years, several floor epoxy companies have been contracted to use their brand floor coating and installation processes at DGA. The competition has driven down upfront costs, but has led to higher life cycle costs - due to premature wear and coating failures. Failures have included coatings popping up in aisle ways and off-aisle locations due to insufficient preparation for our plant environment, and the worst case example was the entire failure of the Lamb assembly line coating, which is still in litigation. All applications from Tri-Chem., PPG (Pittsburgh Paints), Tri-State, Toledo Floor, Cornerstone, etc. have proved to be substandard compared to the coatings provided by Hoover Wells.
